National Paddling Week – June 6-15

Fiddles on the Tobique – June 20-22
A large group of people assemble every year for a downriver float on the Tobique River accompanied by the sounds of fiddle music.

NB Paddler’s Fishing Derby – June 21
A non-motorized fishing event that is open to everyone from beginner to seasoned angler. This is a family-friendly event with good-spirited competition that raises money in support of the Oromocto Watershed. There will be lots of great door prize giveaways! www.paddlersfishingderby.ca
Annual Musquash Paddle – July 26
This annual paddling event is hosted by Conservation Council of NB showcasing the protected Musquash Marsh.

Cape Breton Paddlefest - TBD
This is a 3-day celebration of paddling including kayak, canoe, and SUP that will combine paddling skills and safety clinics, guided tours, and time for networking and socializing. Steeped in history and brimming with wildlife and natural beauty, Richmond County boasts a variety of waterways – lakes, rivers, sheltered inlets, surf, and open ocean suitable for paddlers of all experience levels.
